About The Chairman

Mr. Mizanur Rahman is one of the leading entrepreneurs of Bangladesh. He is the Chairman of Bestway Group, an emerging conglomerate of the country. He did MBA in Marketing & MA in English Literature from Dhaka University. He also holds LL.B degree. He attended many professional seminars and business sessions both at home and abroad. Mr. Rahman is very hard working, talented and sincere in his vision. He has established a number of business organizations within a very short span of time. This young, energetic and visionary business personality is not only trying relentlessly to develop the conglomerate but also has been contributing significantly to the growth of our national economy side by side creating job opportunities for unemployed youth of this land.

Early Life

Md. Mizanur Rahman was born on 20th March 1965 in a middle class family at a small village named Baraikuri, PS-Paba, PO-Nowhata in Rajshahi District. His father was a leading educationist known as Gofur Master in the area and mother, Mrs. Arifa Begum is a home maker. He is the eldest amongst 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

He has had his education SSC and HSC in Rajshahi and had bachelors in Law in Bangladesh Law College, Masters in English Literature and MBA in Marketing from University of Dhaka.

He married Tania Sultana Tanvi in 1998, the eldest daughter of Mr. Jomir Hossain and Amena Khatun, both are teachers by profession from Valuka, Mymensingh. He has three Children, Mursalin M.Tahsinur Rahman, the eldest son and two daughters namely, Maisha M.Tasfia Rahman and Mahiyat M.Tasnuva Rahman.

Career

Md Mizanur Rahman started his business career in 1997 with a renowned business personality, Mr. Tofazzol Hossain as his mentor, Director, NCC Bank, and Chairman of New Generation Group in Bangladesh. He was well groomed as a first Generation Businessman from him. While working with Mr. Hossain, he founded Bestway Foundation in 1998 as CSR Company, a 100% philanthropic organization to pay back the returns to societies and good causes. Later in 2004, Bestway Foundation had become a private limited company to work as no profit, no loss company (while left from Mr. Hossain in 2004 on mutual understanding).

He has founded Bestway Group of Companies with 30 other commercial sister concerns in Health, Education, Clothing, Shelter, Food, Entertainment, Environment, Technology, Hospitality, Service and Media Sectors and to run those business he has picked up 20 successful professionals from market place and promoted them as equity directors of the companies with a vision to provide better standard of living in a sustainable environment."
